Job Description

As the Senior Manager, Marketing Programs, you will play a pivotal role on a growing, high impact Marketing team and will need to demonstrate a wide variety of analytical and communications skills in a fast-paced software start-up environment. We anticipate rapid growth for the company, and the marketing team as well. This a great chance to make a difference early, and get more responsibility quickly as you help to build a business around a groundbreaking product that is changing the way people build reliable, scalable enterprise software applications.

This role will focus on building and managing marketing programs to develop awareness and generate demand in Terracotta's target market segments.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Marketing Programs will report to the Vice President of Products and Marketing and will have responsibilities that include:

  • Manage strategy and execution of ongoing Marketing campaign / program plan.
  • Build and manage strategic global campaigns for regional execution.
  • Management of demand generation programs, including tradeshows, conferences, executive events, webcasts, syndicated content, and telemarketing.
  • Manage integrated program strategy that includes project plans, timelines, budgets, vendors, and contracts.
  • Qualify and recommend new programs to cost-effectively generate new First Meetings with high level prospects.
  • Work effectively with sales team to drive new pipeline and support revenue goals.
  • Build and manage integrated program plan to support global sales team that includes project plans, timelines, budgets, vendor coordination, and negotiating contracts.
  • Work with channel and strategic partners on joint programs to increase lead generation
  • Develop clear and measurable goals for demand generation programs. Report ongoing progress with measurable results.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in demand generation or marketing program management.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering cost effective demand generation programs to support direct and indirect sales organizations.
  • Experience managing programs aimed at delivering first meetings with C and VP level executives at both Fortune 1000 companies and mid-market companies.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, manage resources and budget, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Managed programs from start to finish - strategy, execution, assessment, and improvement.
  • Worked closely with inside sales teams to develop strategies on lead follow up and qualification.
  • Results focused - Able to track and measure effectiveness of all programs.
  • Deliverables orientation - strong project management skills, must deliver on time and on budget.
  • Entrepreneurial - flexible, optimistic, problem-solving approach to work.
  • Leadership and Initiative - proactive in dealing with issues, does the right thing without being asked.
  • Ability to work effectively with sales people to motivate them to participate in your programs.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience with Eloqua, Google Analytics, or a similar web analytics and online lead generation tools is a plus
  • Experience with CRM systems such as salesforce.com a plus.
  • BS/BA or equivalent.
