Terracotta Partner Network Addresses Growing Global Demand for Terracotta?s Technology
San Francisco—Aug. 6, 2007—Terracotta, a leader in infrastructure software for enterprise Java high availability and scalability, today announced the Terracotta Partner Network, a group of existing and new highly skilled integration partners that will work closely with Terracotta to deliver the benefits of Terracotta's Network-Attached Memory to Java applications worldwide. Terracotta and its partners will work together to address the expanding demand for Terracotta's innovative Network-Attached Memory for scalable high availability, and to ensure that customers complete Terracotta deployments on-time while meeting all of their availability, scalability and performance goals.
The newest Terracotta Partner Network members are based in Sweden, the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy:
- Cygni, a consulting company that develops high-performance Java applications;
- Webtide, the main developers and commercial support provider for Jetty, the open source Java Web container;
- U1 Technologies, a provider of Java software development and consulting services to financial service and technology companies;
- Black Pepper Software, which helps companies implement e-business solutions;
- K-Tech, a provider of Java software development and consulting services.
"Jetty and Terracotta are natural complements that are both experiencing rapidly expanding demand as organizations seek ways to build resilient applications with lightweight stacks," said Adam Lieber, CEO of Webtide. "Through the Terracotta Partner Network, Webtide and Terracotta are reinforcing their deep technical and service capabilities to address this significant and growing customer need."
"From the outset, we realized that Terracotta's approach to scalable high availability was done the right way," said Jon Persson, CEO of Cygni. "We quickly recognized that when combined with Cygni's integration skill, Terracotta could solve some difficult problems for a number of our customers at a very reasonable cost."
"Terracotta's breakthrough approach to transparently scaling applications is changing the way people think about scalability," said Nathaniel Colangelo, CEO of U1 Technologies. "Our clients, particularly in the financial services and technology sectors, are eager to apply these new capabilities to solving their business problems."
These new partners join a growing list of Terracotta Partner Network members that includes Pramati's MiddlewareWorks in India, Sourcesense in Italy, Sumisho Computer Systems in Japan, Anchor Blue in South Korea, and Keen Research in the United States and Serbia.
All members of the Terracotta Partner Network must demonstrate technical proficiency with Terracotta through a training and certification program. Network members enjoy priority access to the Terracotta technical team to quickly assist customers that buy a Terracotta enterprise subscription. Terracotta Partner Network members offer pre-deployment architecture consulting, deployment and configuration of Terracotta, and performance tuning.
"The Terracotta Partner Network is a group of outstanding technical leaders joining to reduce the high costs and tradeoffs our customers face with Java scalability and availability," said Amit Pandey, CEO of Terracotta, Inc. "As the adoption of Terracotta's technology accelerates, the need for a strong partner network is clearer every day. We have selected these highly skilled partners due to the resources they bring to bear, and together we will provide our customers the best solutions possible."
Terracotta offers IT organizations a lightweight approach to scalability that lowers costs and simplifies deployment by reducing development effort and easing the load on application servers and databases. Terracotta stores non-essential data created during transactions in "Network-Attached Memory" and then discards it when it is no longer needed. This eliminates the need to buy expensive databases to store non-essential data and preserves databases for their intended purpose - storing important business data.
